In this article, I’ll share with you 9 simple yet effective ways to master the art of likability. These are tried-and-true tips that I’ve found useful in my journey, and I hope they will be for you too.

1) Genuine interest

In the art of likability, there is nothing more powerful than showing a genuine interest in someone else.

We’ve all been in those conversations where it’s blatantly obvious the other person isn’t really listening. They’re simply waiting for their turn to talk, or worse, they’re distracted and not paying attention at all. It doesn’t feel great, does it?

But when someone takes the time to really listen to us, to show an interest in our thoughts and feelings, it can be truly validating.

People can sense when you’re being genuine and when you’re just putting on a show. Authenticity attracts people because it’s rare and it’s real.

So don’t be afraid to be yourself. Your quirks and imperfections make you human, and that’s what makes you likable. Being authentic might mean showing vulnerability at times, but that’s okay.

People appreciate honesty and authenticity more than perfection.

8) Stay positive

Positivity is contagious. When you maintain a positive attitude, it not only lifts your own spirits but those around you as well.
