Every evening, the majority of the human population undergoes voluntary brainwashing.

They watch a news anchor say “Good evening!” _only to listen to a 20-minute explanation of why it is _not a good evening.

Most news is negative because fear sells like hotcakes. Our evolutionary bias makes us drool over doom porn. But all this “the world is ending tomorrow” content does to your mental health what a fly swat does to a bug.

I haven’t watched any news in seven years. Ditch it for a month. You won’t miss anything important.

You’ll just feel much better about life.

Find The Simple Actions That Will Give You Purpose And Meanin

Living a meaningful life isn’t complicated.

All you need to do is make a difference in someone else’s. It’s what keeps me writing every day — I know that somewhere out there, someone will live a better life because of me. You can do the same.

Ask yourself, _”who needs me today?” _It might be a friend, a coworker, a family member, or a stranger who’s too old and fragile to carry shopping bags on their own.

Go and help that person.

Make a difference, both in your life and in theirs.
