9 Habits That Make You Your Best Self

1.Pack Your Schedule

Most people waste a LOT of time, usually 60–100 hours every week, because they have too much down time and are not productive enough.

Make a schedule, schedule every 30 minutes and fill it to the brim with stuff; this can be stuff that makes you excited, it can be work, it can be sleep, it can be watching a movie, it can be learning to play an instrument, etc.

Being productive is not just about doing productive work things but productive life things! It means taking control of your day and getting the most out of it by your definition!

2. Do Things No One Else Is Willing To Do

When someone says it can’t be done, or that it is impossible, you should be the first one in line to test it out.

Test it, see if it actually is possible, and then make it work out somehow. Become the person everyone goes to if they want something handled that is too hard.

This will raise your skills above the norm, will make you stand out, and train you in handling difficult problems and never giving up while showing you that your potential is far greater than you believe.

3. Learn More Than Anyone Else

Do not just study what you have to in school or for your work, but study yourself! Study how others worked on themselves and how they improved, and learn if that works for you as well.

Learn something outside what you need to every day and something that helps improve yourself. You don’t have to do a lot, a little here goes a long way in the end.

4. Read 2–4 Books A Month

That’s at least 1 every two weeks, something that everyone should be able to do. Most successful people read 1 a week.

Most people finish 4 books in a year, and some of those people already make it incredibly far. Now imagine what you could do if you could read 12 times that! How much you would know, how much you could apply, how much you could do with that information!

5. Quit The TV & Video Game Addiction

If I meet you in 10 years at the airport, and ask you what you have done in the last 10 years, would you rather say “Nothing much. Have you seen the new Hit Show X though? Isn’t it amazing! And that new game I just beat was fun too!”

Or would you want to say “So much has happened! I have become successful in every area of life I wanted to be, have a beautiful job, home and family, traveled the world, met amazing people, and am basically living my dream life! It was hard, but I achieved everything and it was worth it!”

You can have either life, and depending on the choices you make now you are going closer towards one of the two. Make the choice that you know is right and that will lead you to the life you want to lead.

6. Wake Up Earlier Than Anyone Else

Most mistakes, regrets and bad decisions are made after 10 p.m. Go to bed early so you can wake up early and make better decisions, leading to a better life.

Some things can still happen later, but so much more great things happen in the early hours of the day that, over a longer period of time, a lifestyle that accommodates early waking hours is far better overall! At least for most.

7. Stop Thinking Of Money As An Evil Thing

“Money isn’t everything, Money doesn’t make you happy, Money corrupts.” Those are all sayings of people that never had any money to begin with!

How do they know? When did they ever gather the experiences to learn such lessons?

Sure, money isn’t everything, and it alone doesn’t create happiness, but it sure as hell is not what corrupts people, and I bet most people would be far more likely to be happy rich than poor.

You don’t have to strive for money or make a ton of it, but you also do not have to resist the process of wanting more and making more. Money is not evil on its own.

When you stop seeing money as both the “one-all-be-all” and the evil incarnate, you will be able to make a lot of money and use it as the tool it was meant to be.

8. Never Surrender On The Things You Truly Want

Most people give up as soon as things get tough and then they complain that they never got that far. They keep blaming the world, even though it was them who were too afraid, comfortable or lazy to do the work.

Of course things will get hard! You will cry, be frustrated, afraid, angry and totally beaten at times, but when everyone else stays down, give yourself a reason to rise once more.

What do you want?

What do you TRULY desire?

Whatever it is, however impossible it seems, never surrender on the things that really matter.

9. Be Excited

Most people are so bored nowadays. They are upset, annoyed and it just leads to apathy. Everything sucks and there is nothing they can do about it.

You do not have to follow suit in their mentality. Life can be amazing! Kids think that way all the time!

Even if you do not feel like it, just decide to be excited and enthusiastic.

Practice this and you will learn to be it every day, all day; it is a muscle, not just an emotion, so train it like one! It will lead you to a far more exhilarating life experience!
