- Heat
Exercising vigorously in 90 degrees heat can raise your body temperature to 103 degrees or higher, causing headaches and difficult breathing. It’s not a good idea to exercise outdoors on very hot days. If you must, drink a half a glass of water every 10 to 15 minutes while you are working out.
- Sleep
Sleeping more than ten hours nightly may shorten your life. A study of a million adults found that the mortality rate for long sleepers was 2 times greater than the rate for people who slept 7 to 8 hours.

- Tooth brushing
The vigorous brushing can lacerate the gum tissue and cause bleeding. Repeated rough teeth cleaning will permanently wear away enamel and cause gum to recede. To brush properly, hold your toothbrush with your fingers rather than in your fist. Start by placing the brush just below the gum line. Then brush down on upper teeth, up on lower teeth. Always use brush labeled “soft”
- Music
Over time, loud music destroys the tiny hairs in the ear canal that register sound waves. The louder the music, the less time it takes. For example, sitting in front of a wall of amplifiers at a rock concert for two hours is enough to do some permanent damage to your hearing.
